Diet - Rule of thumb
- a) caloric restriction, sleep optimisation, stress control, exercise
- b) high protein, high fibre
- c) slow carbohydrates/ low GI (fewer spikes, lower variability in blood glucose)
- d) less processed the better (usually)
- e) fat preference - 1. MUFA, 2. PUFA, 3. Saturated Fat - limited, 4. Trans Fat - avoid
- f) good hydration
- g) fructose - limited
- h) sugar - avoid
- i) supplement for potentially missing micronutrients
